How to Add Beads to a Pandora Bracelet With Lobster Clasp
Gather Your Materials
You’ll need your Pandora bracelet and the beads or charms you want to add.
Open the Lobster Clasp
Lay your bracelet on a flat surface (to avoid losing any beads) and open the lobster clasp to add, rearrange or remove beads. The lobster clasp has a small lever on one side. Gently pull the lever to open the clasp. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging it. Remove the lobster clasp from the ring or link-chain that it is attached to at the end of the bracelet.
Add the Beads
After opening the clasp, slide the beads onto the bracelet. If the beads have a threading or are designed to fit on specific parts of the bracelet, ensure they’re positioned correctly. You can arrange the beads in any order you like. Be sure to leave enough space for the bracelet to close properly.
Secure the Clasp
Once you’ve added and arranged your beads, pull the lever on the lobster clasp to open it and secure it back onto the ring or link-chain at the end of the bracelet. Make sure it’s securely fastened to avoid losing any beads.
How to Put Charms on a Pandora Sliding Bracelet
Adding charms to a Pandora sliding bracelet is slightly different from adding charms to a traditional Pandora bracelet because of the bracelet’s unique design.
Prepare Your Materials
You will need your Pandora sliding bracelet and any charms you want to add
Understand the Sliding Mechanism
Pandora sliding bracelets have a mechanism that allows you to adjust the size of the bracelet. A slider bead that moves up and down can be found fixed to the double strands at the end of the bracelet. You can move this slider up or down to create the perfect fit on your wrist.
Open the Bracelet
Above the slider you will find a cylindrical clasp mechanism on each side of the bracelet. This attaches the snake chain section of the bracelet to the end strands of the bracelet. To open the bracelet, press the lever on the side of one of the clasps with the tip of your finger or finger nail to open up the bracelet. It is recommended that you sit at a table or another flat surface to ensure you don’t lose any charms.
Add the Charms
While open, simply slide your charms onto the bracelet or rearrange your charms as desired.
Close the Bracelet
When you have finished adding and rearranging charms, press the lever on the open clasp, bring the ends together and release the lever to close the bracelet. Ensure it is properly fastened and you’re good to go!

Can you Take a Shower With a Pandora Bracelet on?
All sterling silver will tarnish over time. The process of tarnishing is accelerated when the silver jewellery comes into contact with chemicals and environmental elements such sea air, hairspray, perfume, sulphur, skin creams, and chlorine. It is recommended that you do not wear Pandora jewellery while showering, swimming, playing sport, or while in bed.
Why is Pandora Jewellery so Expensive?
Pandora jewellery is known to be rather pricey and it can often be difficult to justify the cost of such a purchase. There are a number of factors that contribute to the cost of Pandora jewellery including:
- Production of the product (e.g. raw materials, paying the staff who make the products). The more expensive the raw material (like 14K gold), the more expensive the product.
- Distribution of jewellery to stores around the world.
- Paying employees who work in the stores.
- Marketing expenses (e.g. Instagram ads).
- Administration and financial costs (e.g. taxes).
And of course, as with any business, the goal is to make a profit! If you're looking for charm bracelets and charm jewellery that is more affordable, you can browse our beautiful stirling silver charm collection.
Do You Need Clips on a Pandora Bracelet?
While clips are not necessary, they are helpful and they serve three primary functions on a Pandora bracelet.
- Clips can be used to fix loose charms in place. When a clip charm is placed either side of a loose charm, it fixes the charm in a specific location on the Pandora bracelet.
- When placed at the end of the bracelet, a clip stops loose charms from falling off when the bracelet is opened.
- Clips prevent your bracelet from stretching. If you don't put clips on your Pandora snake chain bracelet, your bracelet may expand up to a whole size larger due to the weight of charms and natural wear and tear.
Will Other Charms Fit on a Pandora Bracelet?
The short answer is yes. But not all charms will fit on a Pandora bracelet, so it is recommended that you do your research before making a purchase. There are many charm brands that are compatible with Pandora, and charm jewellery will generally be identified as being Pandora-compatible online. Given how pricey Pandora charms can be, buying charms elsewhere is often a more affordable way to create a charm collection. Our gorgeous range of sterling silver charms, bracelets, rings and necklaces are the perfect alternative to Pandora jewellery.
